CNAME Records in Website Hosting
In case you have a website hosting plan from our company and you would like to set up a CNAME record, it will take you only a few mouse clicks to make it happen. You can access the DNS records for all domains and subdomains hosted in your account through the Hepsia CP offered with every single plan and adding a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, selecting the type, that will be CNAME in this case, typing the actual record value and saving the change. If you have never added this type of record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial which you can watch, or you can just contact us and we will assist you with this task. If you have built a site via another company, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you would like to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, like Google Apps, all it takes is creating a CNAME record with a few clicks within your CP.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and you would like to create a CNAME record, it takes just a couple of clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel where you will discover a section committed to the DNS records of the domain names and subdomains hosted within the account. To create a CNAME record, you will simply have to select the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), type where the latter will be directed to and save the change. The new record is going to be active almost immediately in our system and will propagate worldwide within several hours. Modifying or deleting an existing CNAME record within the account is equally easy and takes a click. In the event you experience any issues, you can go through our detailed help article, see the short video on the subject that we have added in the Control Panel, or you can simply contact us for help.
